Port of San Diego Shuttle to Kick Off 2016 Memorial Day Weekend
San Diego, CA – ACE is pleased to announce that we will once again be operating the Port of San Diego Shuttle (formerly known as the Big Bay Shuttle) for the Summer 2016 season, on behalf of the Port of San Diego. This is the fifth year the shuttle will be running along the San Diego waterfront in an effort to offer convenient and low-cost access to the bay. This year we welcome the addition of a new shuttle stop at the SpringHill Suites & Residence Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayfront on Harbor Drive.
The Port of San Diego Shuttle offers an all-day access pass for just $3, with unlimited on/off privileges, to transport riders to attractions along the Embarcadero, Harbor Island and downtown San Diego.
The Port of San Diego Shuttle will run from May 27, 2016 through Labor Day, concluding on Monday, September 5, 2016. The shuttles, running on CNG fuel, will make a bayfront loop, with eight stops:
South Bound
- Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina
- Anthony’s Fish Grotto/ Maritime Museum of San Diego
- Broadway/Navy Piers
- USS Midway
- Seaport Village/The Headquarters (stop will be located in the turnout in front of the Headquarters along Harbor Drive)
- Manchester Grand Hyatt
- Marriott Marquis & Marina
North Bound
- SpringHill Suites & Residence Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayfront
- Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina
The shuttles will operate seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The shuttle fare is $3 per rider for an all-day pass.
