SAN DIEGO, CA – ACE Parking began operating the Balboa Park Free Tram System today for the City of San Diego, utilizing brand new Metro Tram vehicles.

The new vehicles have the capability of shuttling up to one hundred passengers per tram. There are three power units, one of which is completely enclosed, and nine Metro Trailers. Each unit can carry up to 16 passengers and each trailer can carry up to 28.

Operating hours from October to April are between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Operating hours from May through October are between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. The tram runs seven days per week.

The trams run on liquid propane gas and are ADA compliant.

Primary tram stops include: Inspiration Point Parking lot, Tram Central, Pan American Plaza, Palisades, Federal Building Parking lot, Plaza de Panama and Spreckels Organ Pavilion.
