Bank of America Plaza changing our color to Pink in Support of the Sisters Network and Breast Cancer Awareness Month
On October 27, 2020, Bank of America Plaza changed its color to pink in support of the Sisters Network Inc. and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Sisters Network Inc. (SNI), founded by Karen Eubanks Jackson in 1994 , is a leading voice and the only national Black breast cancer survivorship organization in the United States. Sisters Network Inc. is committed to increasing local and national attention to the devastating impact that breast cancer has in the Black community. Black women have a 31% breast cancer mortality rate which is the highest of any US racial ethnic group. This number is a result of fear, lack of breast cancer awareness, late awareness and diagnosis, and less access to quality healthcare.
Bank of America Plaza’s very own Tenant, ACE Parking, is proud to partner with Sisters Network Inc. in 2020 to increase awareness about the disproportionate impact of breast cancer on the Black community.
